Renu’s artistic core draws on Classical arts. Fusions, a blend of fine trends, is viewed as a larger canvas and a new insight into musical energy. While the stage productions are brilliantly ‘visual’ and always carrying a holistic message, the Renu Art Appreciation programs are designed for Audience Development for an experience in Poetry, Tradition, Rasa (Musical Emotion) and Taal (Rhythm).

Rasvanti

Light Music

In the Indian popular music culture decades-old Marathi/Hindi songs still fondly occupy a place in people’s hearts. Broadly based on raag’s, their lyrics enjoy greater musical flexibility than pure Classical music.

‘Rasvanti’ (nectar-filled) is a potpourri of several such classics.

Gandhaar

Music Appreciation workshop

Inseparable from emotion, the raags are known to be deeply meditative. Gandhaar explores the beauty and meditation in Indian Classical music. Reciting ‘Aum’ musically, the octave is deciphered in its notes and microtones. An excellent exercise for understanding the raag’s and the moods they create.
